Micrashell, this is the ‘anti-coronavirus’ suit with which you will go out to drinks and festivals (and it is not a joke)

The company with Spanish roots Production Club proposes to return to the new normal with a suit that mixes an astronaut style and Daft Punk.

Much is said about how the return will be from day to day. Being able to go back to concerts, mass events, and even go out on a Friday night to a disco. Little is known about this new normal, but in the meantime some companies are racking their brains to find ‘anti-coronavirus’ solutions.

According to Production Club, an American events company with a founder from Zaragoza and based in Los Angeles and Spain, it is possible that our most partying outfit may also change.

The sequins and glitter could be put aside at the next music festival replaced by a ‘Mars’ jumpsuit with which you might as well go to an alien-themed costume party. In addition, it is a kit equipped with the latest technology, so you do not have to get out of your diving suit.

This design responds to the name of Micrashell and has been designed by a music events company concerned about the future of this sector. “With everyone in our industry focused on finding virtual solutions, we have decided to work on something more emotional, physical and inherently human so that the industry can have a greater chance of recovering quickly. The team behind the design has a multidisciplinary background such as robotics, fashion design or special effects, among others. We have worked 24/7 in 12-hour relays between the teams in Spain and Los Angeles until we have finished the design. This is how Micrashell was born “, explains Mike808 (Miguel Risueño) , head of inventions at Production Club.

“Micrashell protects against airborne viruses, easy to control, modern and attractive in design, disinfectable and easy to put on. And most importantly, it allows you to socialize without having to be physically separated. Offering relief for industries that depend on the social interaction in physical proximity, the suit is presented as a pragmatic solution as well as focused on the design for this and other pandemics that are to come “.

LATEST TECHNOLOGY

The suit proposed by the Production Club draws attention for its appearance (very Daft Punk) but also for its technological component.

The waterproof suit and helmet are made of high-performance, cut-resistant tactical materials. “The design only covers the upper half of the body, allowing the user to easily dress and use the toilet (or even have sex) without having to remove the suit,” they explain.

Likewise, the helmet uses a particle filtration system based on the N95 standard and is transparent, so that the user can see around them and can also see them.

The company has also incorporated a wireless voice communication system through which calls can be made or the audio levels of different external sound sources can be controlled or the voice can be modified in real time. In addition, it has a pocket for the phone (with charge).

For the sound, it consists of an integrated speaker system that allows you to listen to live music in 3 modes: wirelessly direct from the DJ / band (dry), as an emulation of the spatial sound of the room based on psychoacoustics (wet), or as a direct amplification of the sound of the club (PA) thanks to the microphone system embedded in the suit. Additionally, the suit has a bass resonator system to transmit frequencies below 150Hz by direct contact with the user’s body.

In a good spacesuit, a camera cannot be missing, in this case with vertical-horizontal rotation and monitoring LEDs. This lens has three functions: it can be connected with the phone to take snapshots, a “chest eye” system that allows you to see in real time the things that the suit or helmet hide, and an intelligent vision system based on computer vision.

And what if I want to drink a beer in the middle of a concert? Well, they have also thought about it. “The user will be able to consume drinks and electronic cigarettes through capsules designed and adjusted in the lower part of the helmet. The drinks are contained within capsules to which only the user and waiter have access, thus adding a new level of security to the night world “.

To complete this, the fanny pack has a near field communication system (NFC) and the suit contains different groups of lights that the user can use to communicate their needs, messages, emotions, etc. “For example, a rainbow effect light can express joy, while a red static light can express ‘busy’. A flashing green light can represent a restful state.”

According to the creators, it is not a simple project, as they have already applied for a patent in the United States and intend to mass produce. “It’s not a game”.
