For working with resource-intensive graphical editing software, desktop computers are the most popular option, but not the only one. Laptops for content creators are on the rise. In this segment, brands such as the Taiwanese Gigabyte with the AERO series are among the best proposals. It is aimed at young people dedicated to graphic designers who want a computer to handle these demanding programs and, simultaneously, have fun with games. This model is the first and the only one –for now– that maximizes performance with Microsoft Azure AI.
Optimize performance with Microsoft AI
Gigabyte AERO 15 is ready for high-resolution rendering with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB RAM, 512GB hard drive, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card. We have not tested it for this use but gaming, and it has gone smoothly and without problems. Nvidia has been selecting Gigabyte equipment for the last few years to announce the new standards of the RTX Studio platform; it will be for a reason.
Part of the excellent performance is due to Microsoft Azure AI.
Part of the excellent performance is due to Microsoft Azure AI: the Taiwanese company has adapted its software to the Redmond giant’s artificial intelligence platform to optimize the team’s resources based on the use that is taking place at any given time.
From Control Center, you can monitor everything the computer is doing (memory, processor, graphics card, occupied space…) to control performance, as well as the intensity of the fan so that it makes less noise and does not disturb those around you.
Does it comply with autonomy and load?
With a reasonably high capacity (94 Wh), the battery of this laptop on paper offers 8 hours of autonomy, according to Gigabyte. In our YouTube video playback tests, with a 93 percent charge, the volume down (20), and the brightness up, it’s completely drained in about five hours. It has given three hours of play with a 100 percent load, playing League of Legends and with several applications open simultaneously (Spotify, Discord, and YouTube).

The fast charge of this equipment fulfills what it promises: in an hour, it reaches half and in just over two 100 percent. But the size and weight of the charger are considerable: together with the cable, it will take up quite a lot of space in a bag or backpack.
Aimed at young content creators looking for mobility and entertainment with games, it is a team with good performance, although autonomy is not one of its strong points. It does stand out in design due to the premium materials that give it an attractive and resistant aesthetic. But, above all, it makes you fall in love with its AMOLED UHD screen, which is very precise in terms of color, although being bright does not get rid of reflections. The camera position is not the best, but it will not be a problem to communicate either. For 2,299 euros, if you mainly use it to play, you may be compensated by other more affordable laptops.
Gaming and, at the same time, discreet
As a gaming laptop, Gigabyte AERO 15 boasts an aesthetic similar to specific gaming equipment but in a discreet way, in a single color, black (except for the silver letters of the brand), precisely so that it goes unnoticed when not you are using it to play but to work. The aluminum frame in a single block gives it enough rigidity to open with just one finger, durability, and lightness. It is light equipment with two kilos of weight, although it is not one of the lightest (nor one of the heaviest) on the market.

The 15.6-inch screen boasts Samsung’s AMOLED technology, the same as some of the Korean firm’s phones, and our favorite for its spectacular sharpness, brightness, and vivid colors. This model, with UHD resolution (3,840 x 2,160), really stands out and is one of the best assets of this equipment. This OLED screen, in addition, is delivered with a calibration process carried out from the factory, something especially interesting for content creators because it provides realism and color accuracy. Opening the laptop reveals skinny bezels and a rubber gusset around the edges of the entire screen to prevent keyboard pressure and damage.
There are some perforations between the screen and the keyboard to cool the equipment, along with the grilles on the bottom of the laptop. Like the Huawei MateBook X Pro, Gigabyte has placed the webcam on the keyboard, although not integrated as one more key but outside. On this site, you have the advantage that you can add a cover to hide the camera and be safe from spyware.
